It’s safe to breathe. It’s safe to feel. It’s safe to heal.

What I’m noticing lately with people who breathe with me is how the breath and affirmations combine to allow a release of whatever they may be holding onto emotionally.

It could be grief.

It could be perfectionism.

It could just be nagging tension and anxiety.

Whatever it is, a well timed affirmation can help cue the subconscious that’s it’s now safe to release.

Safety is vital in allowing the body to let go.

No safety. No release. No change.

So I say to them is:

It’s safe to breathe. It’s safe to feel. It’s safe to heal.

My body knows what to do.

Tears stream down their face.

And where there was tension I see peace on their face.

After the breath I hear how they feel a shift.

  • Grief becomes self-compassion
  • Perfectionism becomes trust
  • Tension in the body subsides, and sense of peace is felt
